Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has responded to the tweet from Gary McSheffrey that he had to seek treatment elsewhere as he has been denied access to the first team physiotherapist Dave Hart.
Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, the City boss said: “The access isn’t to the first team physio but we still have a fully chartered physiotherapist with them at all times.
“There is a fully qualified sports scientist with them at all times and fully qualified coaches, so we are providing them with that resource.
“We aren’t giving them access to Ryton, and I accept. I’m not going to hide behind the truth, they are training away from the first team but they are being given the resources that would be expected.
“For many clubs, even at first team level, there may not be a sports scientist provided and a fully chartered physio, so we are providing those things. It’s not a particularly great situation. I know that and I understand the players’ frustration, but that’s where we are just now.”
