City 'Keeper Won Point.

Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay praised Coventry City goalkeeper Joe Murphy for his saves and for helping his side win a valuable point at The Ricoh last night.

Murphy made a blinding save when he tipped a powerful Whittingham shot onto the crossbar when the sides were 1-1.

After the game, which ended at 1-1, Mackay said, "I thought we got much stronger as the game went on and on another day Kenny Miller has three great chances and gets a hat-trick in the second half.

"Craig Conway had a good chance and Peter Whittingham had a strike that their goalkeeper has done magnificently to keep out. On another day we win.

"We knew it was going to be a tough game, we come away with a point and we keep our unbeaten run going."

Coventry remain second from bottom in the Championship on 13 points, five points from safety, but Cardiff moved up to third in the table.

With rumours surrounding Coventry's goal scorer Lukas Jutkiewicz, who has been linked with big money moves to Southampton or Middlesbrough, Cardiff themselves are trying to strengthen before the loan window closes on Thursday.

Mackay admitted, "At the moment there's one deal in particular we've been working hard on but whether it comes off or not we'll have to see tomorrow.
