Reid claims he was over ambitious One of Coventry City's less successful managers Peter Reid has admitted in an interview with the Daily Mail that he made a mistake becoming manage of the Sky Blues. Reid was appointed manager of Coventry City in 2004 and charged with taking the club back to the Premier League, but left the club after just eight months in charge and with City in 20th place in the Championship. Reid told the Daily Mail, 'Maybe I made a mistake when I went to Coventry. I was over ambitious. "I thought I was Superman after what I had done at Sunderland but I soon realised I couldn't be Superman every day." The 53 year old former England and Everton midfielder is now in charge of League One club Plymouth Argyle.
