Paul Clouting Named New CEO

New CEO named Paul Clouting was this afternoon unveiled as the new Coventry City Chief Executve at  a Ricoh Arena Press Conference this afternoon. Clouting was formerly at Derby County and will join City's board subject to a fit and proper person test. The press conference saw Oyne Igwe, Paul Clouting, Leonard Brody and Ken Dulieu. Mr Dulieu issued an apology regarding a lack of communication and said: City had secured funding as of 10.30 on Monday morning. He also said: "Andy Thorn and Harrison have applied for City managers job. Ray Ranson to stand down as football consultant personal reasons cited. Clouting driving force behind the club, secondary funding team along with Tim Fisher. He went on to say that they were looking to do all they could acquire the Ricoh Arena. Clive Eakin asked where the funding has come from and was told it was several million, The club have no intention of going into administration. Mr Dullieu praised SISU's involvement in the club from keeping the club out of admin and admited that the club were close to going into administration but funding was now in place to keep the club going for years to come. Dulieu to meet Coventry City council on Friday. Mr Brody said that the club was not for sale. In the short and medium term, there is no intention to sell the club. Board are committed to moving forward. Mr Igwe said SISU were committed to improving the playing team, the club and were committed to supporting the city of Coventry. We are here to stay. The accounts have not been filed but Mr Igwe said that they would be with Companies House within two weeks. Club losing money £0.5m a month but Mr Dulieu said that every club was losing money. When asked if the club had been poorly managed under SISU, Mr Dulieu said we are looking for money internationally. It was difficult to raise money against the brand that is Coventry City. We need everybody's help to get funding.
