City Boss On Win Over Notts County

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley, who had the City supporters singing his name during the 3-0 win over Notts County, described the work rate put in by the players in that victory which was their third in a row as 'magnificent'.

"When you come in at half-time and they have just had a man sent off, they can come out with more intensity so we had to get the message to our players to work even harder," Pressley told the Press Association.

"We upped our work-rate in the second half and it was magnificent. The players are doing exceptionally well right now.

"There is no doubt there is a wee bit of a competition going on there between Callum and Leon, but I like that as it brings an edge to their performance.

"They are working so hard for the team and they are getting their rewards for that.

"Leon's two finishes were of a man brimming with confidence and I was pleased with the two of them - but I was pleased with the whole team.

"It was another clean sheet too and we haven't lost a lot of goals of late."
