On-loan defender happy at Rovers

The centre-back has made over 100 appearances for the Sky Blues following his switch from West Ham in 2006 but, after struggling to secure a regular first-team berth since Christmas, he opted to move on a month's loan to Rovers this week.[LNB]And the 25-year-old marked his debut with a stunning bicycle-kick that went in off the underside of the crossbar as Doncaster beat Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 on Tuesday.[LNB]When asked if he sees a way back at Coventry, Ward told reporters: "No, I think there are a few people in front of me and they are happy for that, so I'm happy to be here (at Doncaster) for this month and hopefully it goes well."[LNB]But Ward is not looking too far ahead and is simply focusing on getting games under his belt.[LNB]He added: "I'm out of contract so I just want to play well.[LNB]"I've missed a lot of football this season so I want to play games until the end of the season and that's all I want to do at the minute. That's my focus."[LNB][LNB]
