O`Halloran looking to repay Aidy

Stephen O`Halloran aims to repay Aidy Boothroyd`s faith with plenty more impressive performances like the one he gave on his full debut against Crystal Palace last weekend. The left-back signed for the Sky Blues in the summer but missed the entire first half of the campaign with a back injury, leaving Boothroyd pondering a January swoop for a recognised left-back. But he admits O`Halloran`s confident display in last weekend`s 2-1 FA Cup triumph over Palace - his first start for the club - has left him wondering whether he needs one at all. And the Irishman is determined to build on his burgeoning reputation at home to Sheffield United on Saturday. "Hopefully I`ll be able to show him a bit more as well because the gaffer signed me in the summer with the view to me playing straightaway," he said. "Obviously, my options were limited with my injury and the lads ahead of me have been playing well the last few weeks. But hopefully now this weekend, if I do get another chance, I can keep improving and add a bit to the side."
