Coventry City had representatives in the crowd at Meadow Lane as Notts County beat Oldham Athletic 3-2 tonight in a League One fixture.

Steve Hodge, who played against City in the 1987 FA Cup Final, took charge of The Magpies following the departure of Chris Kiwomya and they took the lead through Danny Haynes in the 20th minute.

Adam Rooney levelled for the Latics but substitute Yoann Arquin, who scored against City at the Ricoh Arena last season, fired Notts back in front on the hour mark.

Callum McGregor scored from outside the area to make it 3-1 in the 68th minute but Coventry City's youngster ever player Jonson Clarke-Harris reduced the arrears two minutes later and that was how it stayed.

The win moved Notts County off the bottom off table and into 23rd place, one point ahead of Bristol City.
