Not A Good Record For City Against Port Vale

A look at City V Port Vale

Saturday's League One game will be the 27th meeting between Coventry City and Port Vale

In the previous 26 league and cup matches between the two sides, Coventry have won seven with eight draws, scoring 20 goals to Port Vale's 35.

Although City won last season in a behind closed doors pre-season friendly and won 4-1 in 2002, the same scoreline by which they lost in 2005 when Micky Adams was manager, you have to go back to April 2nd 1960 for the last of City's four wins in thirteen competitive matches at Vale Park.

Coventry City have never won at Port Vale by more than a one goal margin with three 1-0 wins and a 2-1 win on January 30th 1922.

City's heaviest defeat at Vale Park is a 4-0 loss on October 25th 1924.
