Who's in and who's out of the running Coventry City chairman Ray Ranson has interviewed a couple of candidates for the vacant managerial post at The Ricoh and that he will be speaking to more this week. It is understood that Tony Mowbray is one of those who will be seen this week after it was revealed he has now made contact with The Sky Blues through his agent and has indicated he is very interested in the job. Mr Ranson had already said, “We will be stepping things up next week and hope to make a decision the week after in time for June 1 when the transfer window opens.” Other mangers believed to be interested and in contention include Notts County’s Steve Cotterill and Paul Hart, formerly  boss at Portsmouth, Palace and Nottingham Forest. Both men are currently on holiday. Managers who are now out of contention for the Ricoh hot seat include former Charlton and West Ham boss Alan Curbishley, he would be too expensive and is reluctant to move out of inside the M25 area except for a job in The Premiership. David O’Leary, Gareth Southgate,  Jim Magilton, all previously linked with the vacancy are also thought to be out of the running. One applicant who made his interest in the job public last week, Laszlo Boloni has revealed he has had no feedback from City, so he is likely to be out as well. Former City boss Gary McAllister and former player Don Dublin had previously been ruled out.
