Former Coventry City forward Robbie Keane has agreed a new deal with MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy.
Keane was offered a new contract which will be for two years with the option of an additional third year and confirmed on Thursday that he has agreed the deal.
Keane, who will lead the Republic Of Ireland against Latvia tonight is quoted as saying to Sky Sports: "I have not signed it yet but it is verbally agreed for two, maybe three years.
"I am excited about that. It shows the faith they have in me to give me a new contract. Usually when you hit 30 it is a one-year or rolling contract you get so I have been very very lucky."
