New appointment for City

Coventry manager Aidy Boothroyd has appointed Martyn Pert as his assistant at the Ricoh Arena. The 32-year-old worked under Boothroyd in a sports scientist and conditioning role during his time in charge at Watford. And Pert has now quit his position as head of conditioning at Vicarage Road to again link up with Boothroyd - this time as his right-hand man. Pert`s arrival will not alter the current structure of the midlands club, with Steve Harrison to remain as first-team coach and Andy O`Boyle as fitness coach. Boothroyd said: "This is a very good appointment for us and we are delighted to have Martyn on board. He is a qualified coach and very highly thought of in the world of sports science. "He is also a very organised professional who will work well with the team here, both on and off the field and brings new qualities to Coventry City."
