City Keeper Looking Forward To Going Back To Scunthorpe

Coventry City keeper Joe Murphy is looking forward to returning to his former Scunthorpe United stomping ground tomorrow.

Murphy, who sponsors City Ladies keeper Sue Wood, returns to the club he spent five years before his contract was not renewed and City who had been watching him for a couple of seasons stepped in to sign him as a replacement for Kieren Westwood.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner about his return to Glanford Park, Murphy, who is hoping for a good reception from the home fans said; "I had five great years there, successful years as well, probably the best the club has ever had so to be part of that was amazing. It was a great club at the time and team spirit was brilliant and that probably got us our two promotions.

"I’m going to enjoy going back but we need to get the win. They did us at our place when their keeper had a great game and Clarkey scored two, so hopefully he can do the same for us this time round."
