Joe Elliott is to be invited to Coventry City for talks about a return to the club.
The former Chairman and Life President was castigated by the club following his involvement with friend Gary Hoffman over their attempts to give the club a secure future.
However, things have changed and Mr Elliott who was a constant in the City away end during the season just gone, told the CT: "They want to look to get me back again. We all need to work together.
"If it's for the benefit of the football club that I can have a meeting with Joy Seppala (Sisu boss) and look at ways I can help the club move forward then that's surely the best thing to do.
"We have a fine balance on the future of the football club. If me and Gary are on the inside rather than the outside, there might be ways we can work together to get something positive for the club, whether it be investment or co-investment."
