MP wants to know what is going on with SISU

According to an article by David Conn in The Guardian, MP Damian Collins has written to the sports minister, Hugh Robertson, expressing concern about Coventry City's ownership, following a statment by the  Football League saying it did not know who owned the Sky Blues.

Collins, a leading light on the culture, media and sport Governament committee, is unhappy after being told by the Football League that 'no individual controls more than 10% of Coventry City and therefore no disclosure had to be made'. He has called for greater transparency in football clubs.

SISU's rep on the Coventry City board - Onye Igwe told the Guardian: "We are not being anonymous: I am the fund's manager and a partner in Sisu, that is public," Igwe said. "The funds for Coventry City are from institutional investors, some European, some American, some from overseas, and some high net worth individuals. They are professional investors, and they want confidentiality, which is normal practice in private equity."
