Scottish club disappointed Scottish club Motherwell have admitted they are disappointed at missing out on signing Lukas Jutkiewicz, who joined Coventry City this week. Motherwell's midfielder Steve Jennings has said they were desperate to sign Jutkiewicz from Everton as he had spent last season on loan with them and scores 11 goals in 33 games. Jennings, who shared a flat last year with Jutkiewicz had hoped to see the striker back at Motherwell, but conceded he was delighted for the player. Jennings said, "I am over the moon for him, but I was always chipping away at him and the gaffer was chipping away at me to chip away at him." "He said he would love to come back here if the situation was right for him. Unfortunately it wasn't for us but he had to do what he had to do, and fair play to him." Jutkiewicz joined Coventry on a three year deal earlier this week for an officially undisclosed fee, variously reported at between £200,000 and £500,000 plus add ons.
