Month To Month For Thornton
City old boy news Former Coventry City and Coventry Sphinx midfielder Kevin Thornton is on a month to month contract at Northampton Town. The Irishman has been on the contract over the summer to ensure that he stays fit. Northampton boss Gary Johnson told the Northampton Chronicle & Echo: “There are a couple who have got a bit more to do than everyone else and when I say that people will straight away think I’m talking about Kevin Thornton. “But he’s come back very fit and very strong, and very committed to what we’re doing. I’m really pleased with him. “We had to make sure he looked after himself over the summer which he must have done and he’s been in the ‘good group’ ever since we came back. “He can’t do any more than that, and then when we start doing the football work he’ll do well because he’s a really good footballer.”
