Missiles Thrown At City Supporters
Bottles thrown at City support Missiles were thrown at Coventry City supporters as they made their way out of the Riverside Stadium, following Coventry City's 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough this afternoon. Missiles were including plastic bottles were hurled at the City supporters just outside the away entrance by Middlesbrough fans who were calling City fans "the shit of Birmingham" A number of City supporters stood to confront the baying mob which was around a hundred strong and mainly made up of those who had been in the end next to the Coventry support, before stewards stepped in to form a blockade. After a stand-off, the home fans were eventually dispersed, allowing the City support to get back to their modes of transport safely.
