Millwall v Coventry City, early team news

27 August 2010 10:40
Who might be in and who might miss out Coventry City travel to Millwall tomorrow to a ground where they have never won, although there was a 0-0 draw in 2005. Both teams have made good starts to the season and the game could prove to be the toughest one yet for both. Kenny Jackett is expected to name an unchanged side to the one that beat Middlesbrough 2-1 in the Carling Cup during the week, although there are players pushing for a starting place. Lions Defender Tony Craig and striker Shaun Batt are definitely out with injury.Craig has a fractured metatarsal and Batt recently had knee surgery and he could be out for the entire season.Kevin Lisbie will be keen to start as will striker Steve Morison. Neil Harris was given the nod in midweek over Morison.Defender Scott Barron should start now he has signed a new three year deal with Millwall. Coventry have one or two concerns. Striker Lukas Jutkiewicz jarred his a knee when he took the penalty to open the scoring in the Sky Blues' 2-1 win over Derby last Saturday.Coventry's 19 year old reserve 'keeper Michael Quirke, has a suspected dislocated finger. Both players could be fit in time for the trip and manager Aidy Boothroyd is confident that Jutkiewicz at least, will be fit.Although Coventry are unbeaten with two wins and a draw, he is not too happy and thinks there is scope for improvement, "I thought we did OK on Saturday (the 2-1 win over Derby) .We've managed to get by on grit, determination and some organisational qualities." said Boothroyd. We know it's going to take some time before we start playing fast free-flowing football. We have a very difficult game coming up. It'll be our hardest one yet I believe but if we can get something from this game, it will have given us a strong solid start going into the international week."
