No hamstring injury

Coventry City manager was handed a bit of good news for once when the scans on defender James McPake's leg showed he had not torn his hamstring.

The 27 year old defender had to leave the field early last Saturday with what was feared to be a torn hamstring, but the injury turned out to be only a severe case of cramp.

McPake has been out with a serious back injury for several months and had not played much since his recovery.

McPake said, “Playing three games in a week was a bit of a shock to my system and I ended up cramping up. I had a routine scan and the results show that everything is clear.”

McPake will be fit to face West Ham  a week on Saturday.
