Defender back from injury Coventry City's uncompromising centre half James McPake has said he can't wait for the new season to get underway.  The 26 year old missed much of last season through a series of injuries, including a dislocated shoulder in the first part of last season,an injury which kept him out until December. While the squad were in Austria, McPake suffered from a tight groin so was left as a precaution and to give the injury time to heal, but now the defender is fit and ready for action and is keen to play against Northampton on Wednesday or failing that, Walsall on Saturday. McPake had a double hernia operation at the end of last season  which meant he missed the last few games of the season. McPake said, “The physios are just being extra careful with me because of my history with the injury, My groin was a bit sore last week and so it is just a case of managing my pre-season a little bit differently to the other players, but I have still been doing most of the sessions." // '); // ]]> "I missed a couple in Austria which was frustrating but I know it will be the best thing in the long run. That’s fine now. There is a buzz about the place and we are all looking forward to the new season."  "The main thing for me is to stay fit and if I can do that then I am confident in my ability and the quality we have got in the team to have a good season. The manager is trying to bring more players in and everyone is trying to impress the new manager.”
