Former Coventry City forward Leon McKenzie is preparing for his first professional fight.
McKenzie turned to boxing, after retiring from football and is awaiting to find out who his opponent will be for the fight at York Hall in London on June 28th and speaking about his switch to boxing, he told The Sun: “This is very serious for me, something I have always wanted to do.
“In the last five years of my life I have been tested — sometimes through my own bad choices, sometimes through circumstance. “I fully believe I can do this.”
McKenzie is hosting a public training session on May 29th at the Duke Box Gym, 2b Victory Place, Westow Street, SE19 3RW 2pm
