Pardew's sacking ends transfer hopes It has emerged that Southampton were interested in signing out of favour Coventry City winger Michael McIndoe, but the move collapsed when Saints manager Alan Pardew was sacked. McIndoe has not made much of an impact at Coventry since he signed in 2009 from Bristol City and since the arrival of new manager Aidy Boothroyd, he has only played once, in the first round Carling Cup defeat at Morecambe. The 30 year old winger has not even made the bench for any The sky Blues league games so  far this season and has long been a favourite candidate for a transfer out of the City squad.
