Added pressure for Donny game

Coventry City striker Cody McDonald, who scored his first goal for his new club on Saturday, but later had to be replaced when he suffered a minor knee injury, has spoken of his disappointment at losing the game he felt his side should have won.

McDonald opened the scoring when he put City ahead, but ten minutes after he had to be substituted, Burnley equalised and then went on to score the winning goal in the dying seconds.

McDonald said to the CT, “It is disappointing to concede late goals like that but we can’t dwell on that because we have a big game at Doncaster this week.

“There is perhaps a little bit more pressure on us going into this game but when we go into games like that I think we handle the pressure quite well, and if we keep the ball like we did for 60 minutes on Saturday then I think we’ll be fine.”
