McAllister cool on Coventry

Former manager keeping his options open Gary McAllister, one of the bookies favourites to take over the reins at Coventry City is playing it cool and keeping his options open. McAllister quit as City boss in 2003 to look after his seriously ill wife, but is not a universally acclaimed fans choice to take over the helm once again at Coventry. The Guardian reports that the former Scottish international  defender is "keeping his options open" and also keeping a close eye on developments at Liverpool as he is thought to be looking for a coaching role at the club he joined after leaving Coventry as player in 2000.
