King's City Career Looks To Be Over Speaking to the CT, King who is out of contract on July 1st and has received numerous interest from other clubs dropped the biggest hint that his Sky Blue career is over when he said to the CT: "I like to think I have left here with my head held high and it is good to see the club moving in the right direction." King knows that he has only a few years left of his playing career and like any other 31 year old professional footballer he has to make the most financially of these last few years. King said: “I can’t lie, everything is under consideration. “If you ask a normal working person to double their wages, you have to weigh it up. "It is a short career and I am 31 so everything will play a part in the decision I make – finance, ambition and opportunities. “I am no spring chicken any more and I have got to be realistic. “Being settled somewhere and when the fans adore you like they do it is hard to break that relationship. "But I have got to be honest with myself and everyone else and you can’t tell a club you are going to be signing if you are not 100 per cent. “I am sure Thorny has got his idea of what he wants to do next year and it is nice to know you are wanted. “If an opportunity comes you have got to sit down and seriously think about it. "Everyone wants to ply their trade at the top and I am no different. “If I was a few years younger then maybe it wouldn’t be such a big decision but I am at the pinnacle of my career now so I am not going to rush it. "But I like to think that I can come back and support the club any time if my decision is not here. “There is no one player bigger than the club. There are a lot of young players coming up and they will look at it and think if I am leaving, or other people are leaving, it’s an opportunity for them and they have to step up to the plate.”
