The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's Johnstone's Paint Trophy Northern Area Semi-Final against Preston North End is Robbie Madley from West Yorkshire.
He began refereeing in 2002 and having progressed through the West Yorkshire League and Contributory League System, was promoted to Panel Referee in 2008. He spent a season as a Premier League Assistant Referee before being promoted to the Football League Referee List in 2010.
His last City game was the 1-1 home draw with MK Dons earlier this season and his only City game before that was the 2-2 draw at Cardiff City last season.
This season, he has had 19 matches and show 49 yellows and three red. His last game was Wigan's 1-1 draw with AFC Bournemouth in the FA Cup last Saturday.
His assistants are Alan Clayton and James Wilson. The fourth official is Mark Haywood.
