Madine makes move to Ricoh Arena

Madine has struggled for regular first-team football at Carlisle this season, but has secured a move to the Sky Blues. The 19-year-old's sole start this term came in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, while he has made nine substitute appearances in League One and the Carling Cup. Carlisle boss Greg Abbott is happy to give Madine the chance to perform at a higher level after confirming the deal. "Gary is hungry for football and, at the moment, he finds himself behind the four strikers that we have at the club," Abbott told the club's official website. "That has been frustrating for him, so this is a great opportunity for him to go and work at a club that is at Championship level. "He is training with them today and it will be a very good experience for him." Madine, who had a spell on loan at Rochdale towards the end of last season, will hope to push for a place in Coventry's squad for Tuesday's game at Cardiff City.
