City boss issues close season instructions to his players Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has issued strict instructions to his players about how to look after themselves during the close season. Thorn has made it clear to the players that he won't be tolerating any players who come back to training on July 1st either unfit or over-weight and told the CT: “I have told them to look after themselves during the break. "I spoke to them all as a group and individually, and gave them all training programmes and told them to work to them. “I have told them to go away and enjoy their summer but I want them back in good shape because I don’t want to be wasting time getting anyone fit if they come back overweight. "That isn’t going to happen and if it does they’ll find themselves working separately from the main group. “It is a case of good times and enjoy the summer but, when we come back to work on July 1, I want to get going straight away and hit the ground running. I don’t want to be held back by trivial stuff.”
