Liverpool join race for former Coventry star
Scott Dann in demand According to numerous reports in the national press, Liverpool have joined Manchester United in the race to sign former Coventry City captain Scott Dann from Birmingham City. Dann signed for Birmingham for a reported £3.5m in 2009 having joined the Sky Blues in 2008 from Walsall for an undisclosed fee, thought to be in excess of £1m. Now Manchester United and Liverpool are reportedly interested in the England under 21 international with the fee said to be around £8m. The 23 year old defender was born in Liverpool and was a Liverpool season ticket holder as a child.
