Leon wants Best form for Sky Blues
The 22-year-old received a surprise call-up for Republic of Ireland's summer games against Nigeria and Bulgaria and Best is now intent on cementing his place in the reckoning ahead of next summer's World Cup.
"I just can't wait for another call-up to play with them again," he told the Coventry Telegraph. "But I can't wait for the season to start again with Coventry because it has opened my eyes a bit more.
"And I would like to back it up now with a good season at Coventry because Trapattoni must have seen something in me to give me a call. It was a buzz playing and it gives you a confidence at club level as well."
