Boothroyd says no news at all Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd has said there is nothing to report on the January transfer front and has responded to media speculation linked certain players with a move to Coventry City. He hinted that there may be new faces if the right players are available. “There’s no news at all,” said Boothroyd, “we’ve had no offers and there are no outgoings." “We’re still working on it because we have always got to be looking to strengthen the squad but they’ve got to be the right players and the right characters. I think the fact that we’re getting some of our big players back is probably more important than signing new ones." "As with every other team, we’ve seen that when key players are missing we do have a problem from time to time. If we can get everyone fit and add one or two faces to create even more competition that will be really good for us, but there is no mad panic on." “You can switch on the television and find out how many more seconds there are until the end of the window but I don’t get drawn in by all that. It’s all very exciting to watch but it’s nonsense.
