Boothroyd: Marlon looked very fit ": Marlon King has played for Coventry City reserves yesterday and score in the 4-4 draw with the MK Dons. The controversial striker played for 85 minutes in a behind closed doors game at the club training ground at Ryton. The game was arranged partly to assess the fitness of the 30 year old striker and to try out a few tactics. City boss Aidy Boothroyd was pleased with King and said, "Marlon looked very fit and it was a useful exercise all round. Boothroyd  hopes to have King signed and registered in time for the early kick off at The Ricoh against Leicester on Saturday. "It is something I am hoping will be resolved by the end of the week. I want him here and I am sure we will get it all sorted out," he said. Boothroyd is also hoping to have the teen-aged Bolton winger Danny Ward at the club by then and he added, "We have still got a few days to get that one organised and I am hoping to get it sorted for the weekend."
