Sculptor on statue progress A statue of legendary former Coventry City manager and chairman Jimmy Hill will be erected outside the Ricoh Arena in time for next season. Work is well underway on the statue which will be cited close to the main entrance of the Ricoh Arena thanks to a fund-raising appeal which has attracted tens of thousands of pounds in donations from supporters, businesses and other organisations. Hill was much more than a manager and Chairman, who led City from their Bantam days of the Third Division to the top flight for the first time in the club's history in 1966/67. Speaking about how progess on the statue is going, world famous sculptor Nicholas Dimbleby said to the CT: "At the moment it is made of clay. "It starts off looking like a big lump of clay and now it's looking like Jimmy Hill in a suit. "It's all going to plan. "It's what I call coming into focus."
