Jimmy Hill’s statue now stands proudly outside the Ricoh welcoming all fans to the stadium. On the 50th anniversary of Association member Jimmy Hill's arrival at Highfield Road Coventry City Former Players Association Chairman (and official Club historian) Jim Brown has prepared another tribute to the man and his times to mark what is undoubtedly one of the greatest periods of progress for the Sky Blues.

Jim provides a thorough analysis of JH’s contribution to such an exciting time for both the Club and City and provides a season by season guide to the the Sky Blues climb to the top division under JH. Early subscribers were able to nominate their favourite player from Jimmy Hill’s era, 1961-67 and the results are published in the back of the book.

The illustrated paperback, “SKY BLUE REVOLUTION : Jimmy Hill at Coventry City 1961-67 is now in the shops (including the Sky Blue’s Shop) published at £14.99 by Desert Island Books (32 Lascelles Gardens Ashingdon, Rochford Essex SS4 3BP, U.K.)

If you would like a copy signed by Jim he will be officially launching the book at Waterstones Bookshop in the Lower Precinct in Coventry City Centre between 11-12 on the morning of the Sky Blues’ home game against Burnley on October 22nd 2011 and at the Ricoh (in the G-Casino) both before and after the game (times to be confirmed).

There to help Jim’s launch will be Sky Blue favourites from the JH era  Ron Farmer, Mick Kearns and Dietmar Bruck.
