Referee announced The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's Championship game at Crystal Palace on Saturday is Pat Miller from Bedfordshire. The 42 year old father of three, is an Operations Manager and took up refereeing in 1995 when his playing career was cut short, following a collision with a goalkeeper which left him with two broken bones in his right leg. He was appointed to the National List of assistant referees in 2002 then had two seasons on the list of Panel referees before his promotion to the National List of Referees in 2005. The match at Selhurst Park will be his 12th game of the season and his third Championship fixture. So far he has shown 45 yellow cards and three reds including seven yellows in his last match between Barnet and Stevenage on November 2nd.His last City game was the 1-0 home defeat to QPR on April 7th 2007 and his last visit to Selhurst Park last season saw a 3-0 win for Doncaster Rovers. The Assistants are John Hopkins from Essex and Dave Rock from Hertfordshire The Fourth Official is Barry Holderness from Essex.
