Jeffers on the perils of being young Coventry City striker Shaun Jeffers has said that it is hard for City manager Chris Coleman to give young players an outing at the current time due to results.Speaking to the CT, Jeffers, who made his third appearance for the Sky Blues this season when he came on against Preston North End, said: "It is hard for the manager to play the younger players at the moment because of the way the results have been going and I fully understand that. "Obviously if the lads had been winning games and looking comfortable at 2-0 or something then it is a lot easier to throw players like myself on for a run."I think the young boys have to be broken in gently and it is no use throwing them in at the deep end and knocking their confidence if things don't go so well."I know it is going to be a big year for me and the other young lads who have got their first pro contracts and I can't wait to give it everything I have got and hopefully break through and get a few games in the first team.
