City Boss on Defeat

.Coventry City manager refused to be overly critical of his players after the 5-1 defeat to Tranmere Rovers.

Pressley told Geoff Foster of BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "It was a number of things and I'm not going to be over critical of my players but if we do not press we not going to win. We did not play with intensity and our distances from players for the four or five goals were poor.

"The result is not good enough but I do not want to be overly critical as we have come so far in a short distance.

"Football reminds you of where you are and this is what today did. "We have to keep playing to standards and if we don't, then days like today can happen.

"We have to get things right for Tuesday which will be a tough game.

It gives us a quick opportunity to react and if we don't do that we are not the team people think we are."
