I'll take the point and move on says Coventry City boss Robins

Coventry City manager Mark Robins admitted that he takes the point from the Sky Blues 2-2 draw at Preston North End and moves on.

The City boss made one change to the side that had beaten Oldham for a trip to Deepdale, where the Sky Blues have never won a league match and his team were under pressure early with Captain Carl Baker forced to clear off his own goal line in the fifth minute.

Coventry had chances to score through Jennings, Moussa and Clarke but in the 29th minute, Preston took the lead when Gareth Cummings touched in a cross. They levelled eight minutes later thanks to a smart finish from Leon Clarke after some fancy footwork from Franck Moussa and went ahead eight minutes into the second half when Baker's cross from the right was turned into his own net by Chris Robertson. On the hour mark, Preston equalised through Nicky Wroe to give the Lillywhites a share of the spoils.

Speaking to Joe Hewlson about the draw which lifts Coventry up to seventh in the table, City boss Mark Robins said: "They went ahead in the game with their first real, meaningful attack. That was a bit of a blow.

"But we got back into the game with a well-worked goal through Leon Clarke and some decent movement and then got ourselves in front in the second half with that own goal.

"I thought we deserved that. We could have been out of sight in the first half with the amount of chances we created. We had about 30 crosses in the game, 20 shots in the game and we have only scored the two goals. That's a disappointment.

"Having said that, I will take a point and move on to next week."
