Coventry City loanee David McGoldrick who notched his sixteenth and seventeenth goals of the season in Saturday's 4-1 win at Doncaster Rovers on Saturday, has admitted that like many others, he is at a loss to explain why Mark Robins was not named as Manager Of The Month.

Neither Robins or McGoldrick for the players award were even selected for the monthly honours announced last Friday and McGoldrick told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: "This is the start of something special.

"There was some bad stuff going on at the start of the season with the manager being sacked and a hangover from relegation but the players have put it behind them and now we're on a roll with Mark Robins who has done a great job.

"I don't know how he didn't get nominated for Manager Of The Month. Everyone believes in him and he's got a good thing going and long may it continue."
