McSheffrey raring to go Gary McSheffrey has said that he cannot wait to put on a City shirt at the Ricoh Arena.The forward who officially joined Coventry City on July 1st after his contract at Birmingham City expired is hoping to feature in the Sky Blues final pre-season game against West Brom on Saturday.Speaking to Sky Blue Player, McSheffrey said: "To be honest I can't wait for the chance to put on a City shirt again at the Ricoh so come August 7th, I hope I can be selected, play well and hopefully help get us off to a good start with a win."Pre-season is all about fitness and all the lads are in good shape but there is still always a competitive edge in friendlies and I expect it will be the same against West Brom on Saturday."They are a quality team and they will want to come here and play their brand of football so it will be a good test for us."Next week though will be totally different because the first game against Portsmouth will be just around the corner so there is a totally different feel to it and I can't wait to get started." Tickets for both the West Brom game and the Portsmouth game are on sale now.
