Hussey sent to Coventry

Crewe boss Dario Gradi has been dealt a major blow with the news that recent loan signing Chris Hussey has returned to Coventry due to injury. The former AFC Wimbledon full-back had only just returned from a foot injury suffered in August but suffered a fresh injury blow in training and will be assessed by his parent club. Hussey had been set to make his Alex debut against Morecambe this weekend and Gradi told the club`s official website: "Chris trained with us for two days and right at the end of the session, he limped in to see our physio. "We sent him for an X-ray but that proved to be inconclusive. He has now returned to Coventry to be re-assessed. "It`s a blow for him and for us, because he came here wanting to play and to get his career back on track after the injury. He was looking forward to it and wanted to get going again and he looked as though he would have fitted the bill. "He had personality and drive and wanted to come here and do well, so it is disappointing but one of those unusual things."
