Houchen Not Actually Tipping Hartlepool

Paper Trying To Change The Angle

It appears that the Hartlepool Mail are trying to make a story out of nothing by claiming that Coventry City 1987 FA Cup legend Keith Houchen is tipping Hartlepool to beat City in the FA Cup Second Round tie tomorrow.

The paper quotes Houchen as saying: “I would go for Pools with the home advantage. But having said that Coventry haven’t got a home, so they can play anywhere.

“It is about time Hartlepool had a really good cup run though and a bit of glamour.”

However, if you look at his quote, it is quite non committal and actually expresses the view that the tie could go either way.
