Fee agreed Following intense speculation, Sunderland have confirmed they have accepted an offer for a former Coventry City loanee Jordan Henderson. Henderson was on loan at Coventry City in 2009 when he was just 18 years old. He was hugely impressive, not only with his football, but with his personality and character as well. He made ten appearances and scored one goal in his short stay at The Ricoh. A Sunderland statement last night confirmed, "A fee has been agreed with Liverpool for Jordan Henderson and he travels to Anfield with the club's blessing." The fee for the 20 year old midfielder is thought to be around £20m. Liverpool had an offer of £16m rejected by Sunderland last month and so returned with an improved offer which has now been accepted. Liverpool are hoping to have the deal concluded before Henderson joins up with the England under 21 squad later today as they prepare for the European Championships It has been suggested the Liverpool's striker David Ngog could be moving to Sunderland as part of the deal, but as yet that remains unconfirmed.
