Musican and City Supporter Anthony Harty on playing the Ricoh Arena

Coventry City supporter Anthony Harty is looking forward to making two appearances at the Ricoh Arena.

Harty takes to the stage tonight in the showbar in the G-Casino with his band and will play with The Selecter when they play at the Ricoh Arena on March 31st.

Speaking about the two gigs to Covsupport News Service, Harty, who shot to fame as a youngster when he played with Paul Weller's Style Council some thirty years ago and has played alongside a host of musicians, said: "Playing the Ricoh for me is  nearly as exciting as when I played on the pitch at Highfield Road with the 2Tone Collective!

"The gig with my band will be totally different to the Selecter homecoming at the Ricoh Auditorium.

While the Selecter have some time out til the March tour, I thought it was an ideal time to do some more gigs with my own band, and 2013 is my and The Style Council's 30th anniversary, so its more of a celebration of the people and bands I've worked with, centering around TSC, and some songs off my Baggage album, mixed in with other well known songs by artists on my CV from the last 30 years.

"The Selecter will be doing the old classics plus showcasing material from the new album String Theory as well as songs from the last album Made In Britain, which have become Selecter fans favourites!"

Tickets are on sale for The Selecter gig priced at £15.
