Harrison and Thorn take Sky Blues reigns

Steve Harrison and Andy Thorn will take charge of Coventry's trip to Burnley following the sacking of Aidy Boothroyd. First-team coach Harrison and chief scout Thorn have been placed in temporary charge of team affairs with Boothroyd and assistant manager Martin Pert both relieved of their duties on Monday morning following a run of just one win in 16 games. Boothroyd suffered terribly with injuries over recent months and there is no let up for Harrison or Thorn. Centre-back Martin Cranie will be assessed ahead of the clash at Turf Moor having sustained a suspected hamstring strain which forced him off late on in Saturday's 1-0 home defeat to Hull. Marlon King serves the third match of his four-game ban, while fellow striker Clive Platt (calf) will again be assessed. But goalkeeper Keiren Westwood should again feature having passed a late fitness test on his hip/thigh muscle strain to return between the sticks at the weekend. Meanwhile, City are expected to learn this week whether centre-back Ben Turner needs another operation to repair torn knee ligaments which have sidelined him for four months. Skipper Lee Carsley, defender James McPake and midfielders Gary Deegan and Isaac Osbourne all remain out.
