Midfielder Adam Barton was pleased to have been able to play in central midfield against AFC Wimbledon on Friday night.
Speaking to Kieran Crowley, Barton, who has struggled for a regular first team place due to the form of John Fleck who missed the cup tie through suspension and Conor Thomas said: "I've had a conversation with the manager about it and it has all been positive. I can't complain really. The team are doing really well and both Conor (Thomas) and John (Fleck) have been major parts of the side.
"It was nice to get a run-out in central midfield against Wimbledon. It probably takes a couple of games to get going but I'd like to think I did a good job for the team."
