Mark Robins, who has off-loaded Cody McDonald this week, has no fresh injury concerns and has a full squad to choose from as City go looking for their first ever league win at Deepdale.
Underfire Graham Westley is without Keith Keane (knee) and Scott Laird (broken leg), Captain John Mousinho and striker Lee Trundle (hamstring).
Defender Paul Connolly, who joined Preston on loan from Leeds United last week is expected to make his debut.
