Referee Announced

The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's Championship game against Nottingham Forest on Saturday is Fred Graham from Stanford Le Hope in Essex.

When his playing career ended due to injury in 1988, Fred registered as a referee with the Middlesex County FA and covered games on the parks of Barnet. He was subsequently promoted to Level 5 status in 1994 after moving to Essex and has covered a number of County finals since, including Sunday Intermediate and Senior showpieces.

He was an assistant in City's 5-2 win at Gillingham in 2004 and refereed his first Football League game at Notts County on the first day of the 2004/05 season.  This season, he has had eleven games (two of which have been in the Championship) and issued 37 yellow cards and three reds.

He was fourth official for City's 3-0 defeat to Ipswich last month and the last City match he refereed was the 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace on April 7th 2009. Previous games are the 1-1 draw at Southampton on October 28th 2008.

His assistants are Carl Fitch from Suffolk and Gavin Muge from Bedfordshire.  The Fourth Official is Wayne Barratt from Worcestershire.
