Fitness Is Going To Play A Major Role - Baker

Nowhere to hide says Baker Coventry City midfielder Carl Baker has said that fitness is going to play a major role in the Sky Blues season.Speaking to the CT, Baker said: "I am a football fan myself. "When I am watching Liverpool I am just like the Coventry fans are when they are watching us."Sometimes things don't go well or you have an off day but if you can see you giving 110% then they can accept that and go away from the stadium acknowledging that you have given everything you have got on a match day. But I don't think the gaffer will let anyone get away with giving anything less than 110%."There is no hiding place now and everyone is going to have to work otherwise they are not going to be in the team. "That's what the manager has said to us and even in training now we are doing specific training like man to man marking and a six a side game where every player has to track every runner, so there is no hiding place."Hopefully that will be seen on a Saturday when the season starts because we need all eleven players to be performing and fitter than the opposition's eleven in order for us to get the points that we need - I think fitness is going to play a major role this season."Picture copyright of Covsupport News Service.
